How ENA Supported the RSN and Singapore During COVID-19

Eastern Navigation lends strong support to the RSN by providing vessels for civil resource acquisition training, allowing NSmen to conduct drills, board the vessels and familiarise themselves with the machinery.

When COVID-19 struck the dormitories in 2020 and there was an urgent need to relocate migrant workers, Eastern Navigation swiftly mobilised two of its accommodation vessels within a week to house those affected.

Although the company had been in discussions with prospective clients about chartering these vessels, it chose to prioritise the national need, setting aside commercial opportunities to bring the vessels back to Singapore.
